What is solargraphy?

Solargraphy is a specialized form of long-exposure pinhole photography that captures the sun’s daily path across the sky over days, months, or years. Using simple homemade pinhole cameras and photographic paper, it creates images showing "sun trails" against landscapes (wikipedia).

I think of this process as “analog time-lapse images.”

6 pinhole cameras were installed at Playland’s Castaway Cove on April 22, 2026. 7 more being installed in Linwood and Longport. Stay tuned for results!
